1. Product Description

All products provided at: pftschoolhouse.teachable.com are online sewing classes and/or digital downloadable (PDF) sewing patterns. They include clear step-by-step instructions for how to sew the pattern at home.

To help you along the way, don't forget, you can also join our FREE Beginners Guide to Patchwork and Quilting Course and also our FREE Sarah's Favourite Embroidery Stitches Course. In both courses you will find 'little happy' video tutorials with close up and slow motion footage, with Sarah talking you through her favourite techniques and stitches.

2. Intended Use

The pattern itself, is written assuming that you have a basic understanding of sewing, quilting and patchwork and know for example, how to use your sewing machine. That being said, we include lots of step by step instructions and diagrams. It is intended for personal domestic use only.  

Please do not reproduce the pattern and sell items made from them. Business use of any kind is not permitted. The finished products created from this pattern are enjoyed personally or for you to make as gifts for others.  


3. Language

Course Content and Patterns are delivered and written in English.   


4. User Responsibilities and Safety Considerations  

Users should read all the instructions before beginning are responsible for adhering to the steps provided. 

Users should ensure the safety of materials used in their projects and verify that all materials meet EU and relevant local safety standards and all textile flammability regulations. The finished product should not be used near open flames or heat sources.

Users must ensure that small components such as buttons or embellishments must be are safely affixed, to prevent choking risks.

Users should conduct a final inspection of the completed item to ensure safety before use.

The finished projects created from our patterns are not suitable for babies or children.

Always read the user manual for your tools and machinery prior to use. Exercise caution, work slowly and avoid distraction when handling sharp tools (e.g. scissors, rotary cutters, pins, needles) and operating machinery such as irons and sewing machines.  Store your (unplugged) machinery and tools out of reach of children at all times. Regularly inspect tools and machinery for damage and blades for bluntness and replace them as needed.  

Always work at a robust, flat and large surface to prevent machinery and tools from moving around or falling off. Please ensure that the surface is set at a comfortable height to maintain good posture to avoid strain or injury. Also keep your workspace well lit to ensure clear visibility of tools and materials and to avoid accident or injury.

Whilst our digital sewing patterns do not pose any direct physical risks, the following aspects are addressed:

6. Manufacturer’s Responsibilities

Pretty Fabrics and Trims ensures to the best of their knowledge that the pattern provided is accurate, clear, and free from defects at time of publishing. 

The company disclaims liability for improper use of the pattern, unsafe material choices, or inappropriate application. Pretty Fabrics and Trims is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from the misuse of tools, materials, or the pattern itself.
